Ingredients

  • LEMON  – Vitamin C helps kids have a stronger immune system, fight illnesses, and absorb iron better. Lemons are also a good source of fiber, potassium, calcium, and protein.
  • ORANGES – have all these benefits too, plus they’re full of all forms of vitamins B and A.
  • BERRIES – different colored berries offer different benefits, so it’s important to give kids a variety of fruits. Wild blueberries are especially healthy, full of flavonoids that help the brain, heart, and gastrointestinal health, among other things. A recent study even showed that berries can help improve attention span in children.
  • BEETROOT – is a good source of minerals and vitamins, including iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, vitamin K, and vitamin E. This makes it a good choice for kids who are anemic with low iron levels or have hypothyroidism.
  • POMEGRANATES are rich in antioxidants, iron, calcium, and fiber. They have anti-inflammatory, digestive, and dental benefits, and can also protect the liver and cure anemia. They may also help prevent cancer in kids and boost immunity.

Interesting Fact on Pomegranate and Kids

Drinking pomegranate juice helps the body eliminate intestinal worms quickly and cures the disease that children often have.

How to make a Pomegranate seed Smoothie with Beet

  • Cut the pomegranate with a knife and use your fingers to separate the fruit, which is later washed in a strainer and cleaned of pale yellow skin.
  • All the liquid goes into the blender first and then the berries and raw beets.
  • Blend for a minimum of 2×30 seconds (to preserve your blender).
  • Then strain the mixture through a plastic strainer (strain by lightly pressing at the end with a large spoon for precious juice).
  • Serve in some kid-friendly cup with a colorful straw and your kid will enjoy this delicious healthy pomegranate seed smoothie.

Equipment Needed

To make a super tasty, smooth, creamy, and well-blended fruit smoothie you need an excellent blender. My favorite is the Nutribullet food processor. It’s small, strong, and simple to maintain!

Smoothie Variations

  • You can add apples or carrots
  • Beet has a strong flavor that most kids don’t like. Start with one slice and gradually add more until they get used to the taste.
  • Add some dates, honey, or maple syrup if needed, but this smoothie is delicious without any added sweeteners, trust me!
  • If your kid says: ˝I don’t like the texture of smoothies˝ – place it in popsicle molds and make it a refreshing dessert for your child. Who doesn’t like ice cream!?

Adults can Enjoy This Smoothie Too

Fussy eater kids are a priority in this recipe, but parents can also enjoy it! It can be very useful for losing postpartum weight or just for your overall well-being. When you make one for your kids, have it yourself as well. After all, we have to try it and see if the smoothie is tasteful. Let this be one of your regular short and simple family recipes.
